What would eventually become The Bagel Bar Cafe was first founded in 1994, when Christine Kreisher took on a challenge from a local bike shop owner. The challenge—to sell bagels out of the bike shop—became so successful that Christine was afforded the opportunity to open up her own shop in its own location. While the Cafe’s original name was The Bagel Bar in the Bicycle Den, it quickly changed to The Bagel Bar when moving to its new site.

Vast success and wild popularity led to another location change, to a bigger storefront that was better equipped to handle their growing consumer base. Here is where the establishment, now known as The Bagel Bar Cafe, was built.
