The Tucson also does a better job of absorbing force – for instance, the passenger in a CR-V should expect 111 pounds of neck compression in a front impact, versus only 50 pounds of compression in the Tucson. In side-impact testing, rear-seat passengers absorb 609 pounds of hip force in the CR-V, versus only 482 pounds in the Tucson. Those numbers are just scratching the surface – across all measurables, the Tucson performs better.
