What are the trims available for the 2018 Hyundai Sonata?
With six trims to choose from, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata offers options, but doesn’t overwhelm you with too many choices. Some vehicles throw dozens of combinations at you, which can bog down the selection process. The Sonata offers smartly-priced and well-appointed packages that make it easy to find a version that fits your lifestyle.
Hyundai Sonata SE & Sonata Eco
While the Sonata SE and Sonata Eco are considered two different trim levels, the only real difference is the engine – opting for the naturally-aspirated 2.4 liter or the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. Everything else is identical. This includes power accessories, premium cloth upholstery, air conditioning, and modern metalgrain appearance accents. A six-speaker audio system is connected to the 7-inch color touchscreen display at the center of the dashboard. Every Sonata has Bluetooth hands-free phone and streaming audio, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Hyundai Sonata SEL
The 2018 Hyundai Sonata SEL gets plenty of upgrades inside and out, and is the best value of all the trims. Proximity Key entry with push button start and a hands-free smart trunk make it easier to get in and get going, regardless of how full your hands are. Heated bodycolor side mirrors prevent ice from forming up and obstructing your view in the frigid Reading winters. Inside the SEL, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob add a touch of sportiness. Both front seats are heated, while the driver seat is 10-way power-adjustable, with power-adjustable lumbar support. The infotainment system gets upgraded as well, with HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, and the Blue Link Telematics system all standard. An added floor console-mounted USB charge port means you can charge more phones at once.
Hyundai Sonata Sport+
Adding to everything included on the SEL, the Sonata Sport+ gets an aggressive exterior, including a sport front grille, bumper, rocker panels, and rear diffuser. This is all highlighted by a chrome-tipped dual exhaust. A standard power tilt-and-slide sunroof opens up the cabin to the Berks County skies. The sportiness is increased inside, with a heated leather-wrapped D-cut steering wheel, a leather wrapped Sport shift knob, aluminum pedals, 3D tech appearance accents, and Sport seats with leather bolsters and cloth insert. Dual automatic temperature control lets front-seat passengers adjust their comfort levels – no more fighting over it being too hot or too cold.
Hyundai Sonata Limited
On the luxury end of the Sonata line, the Limited has standard LED taillights, while the Sport front grille and bumper from the Sport+ is an option. While the power tilt-and-slide sunroof is standard, it can be upgraded to a panoramic sunroof. Leather upholstery is standard, as is heating and ventilation for the front seats. The passenger seat is upgraded to power 6-way adjustability, while the driver seat and side mirrors have the Integrated Memory System to retain setting for the individual driver. Woodgrain appearance accents and premium door sill plates add an upscale feel. The touchscreen can be upgraded to an 8-inch version with navigation, connected to a ten-speaker Infinity audio system.
Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T
At the top of the line, the Limited 2.0T+ combines the sportiness of the Sport+ with the luxury of the Limited, for an all-around experience. Everything that is optional on the Limited and the Sport+ is standard – every safety feature included. Smart Cruise Control with stop/start capability is standard, as is the panoramic sunroof. Top-of-the-line sport seats with leather seating surfaces are luxurious yet supportive. The 10-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer and external amplifier from Infinity is standard, as is the 8-inch color touchscreen with navigation. Wireless device charging makes it easy to charge your modern cell phone.
